Languages
Shenzhen did not become a big city until after the 1980's. Before the city become a SEZ, there were 2 main languages spoken, Hakka and Cantonese. After the swell in population and migrants due to it become a Special Economic Zone, the people there started to speak Mandarin the most and now Mandarin is the most prominent Language, along with the English spoken ONLY Foreign Businessmen as most people living in Shenzhen do not know much English.
Culture
In Shenzhen, there is a religious amusement park called the 'China Folk Culture Villages'. There are many brilliant and stunning festivals that take place there and many tourists, and locals, go there to watch traditional folk dances, buy the amazing handicrafts and souvenirs, and enjoy the local food all to get a feel of the traditional Chinese Folk Religion.
